This is the checklist for the person who builds solutions: ten tasks from the structure to a shared solution with a view, linked tables, one automation and a dashboard. You need the Solution Creator role, or the Solution Manager permission on a solution an Administrator created for you.

Which habits save the most time later?
One solution per business process, with one table per type of item. A table of projects beats a solution per project.
Name fields the way the team talks. Field names appear in views, forms, automations and the API.
Build in Private to Me, share when it works. Change a field's settings, not the view, when the change should apply everywhere.
Use the demo data to learn the template, then delete it once your own records are in.
Frequently asked questions
Can a General Access member be a builder?
Yes, on a solution where an Administrator or Solution Creator has made them a Solution Manager. To create new solutions they need the Solution Creator role.
Where do field settings live, in the view or the table?
In the table. A field's type and settings apply in every view; which fields show, their order and width are set per view.
How many Linked Record fields can a table have?
30 on Team, 50 on Professional, 100 on Enterprise and Signature.
Can AI build the first draft of a solution?
Yes. Choose Create with AI in the New Solution window, describe the workflow, and the tables, fields and views are generated in about 1 to 2 minutes for you to change.
