An FAQ widget shows questions and answers on a dashboard. Think of the three things people keep asking, written once where they look. The answers can be shown all at once as a list, or one at a time as an accordion.
Here is the test: do viewers ask the same few questions about the page? If yes, put the questions on it. For a longer guide, use a Text Block widget.
Example: the foot of the Vendor risk overview carries an FAQ with three questions: "Who owns a vendor?", "When is a finding Critical?" and "Where is the evidence?". It is an accordion in one column. During the audit the Security lead adds a fourth question for the auditor.
The FAQ widget at the foot of the Vendor risk overview as an accordion, with the second answer open.

Adding an FAQ widget
Set the View | Edit switch in the upper right to Edit.
Select + Add Widget in the toolbar. The Add New Widget sidebar opens on the right with a Search Widget box and thirteen collapsible categories. Page Display is open to start.
Open Page Display and select the FAQ card. Its info icon reads "Displays a list of frequently asked questions and answers to those questions."
The FAQ modal opens. The preview sits on the left and the settings on the right, on two tabs, General and Style. Add the questions, then select Add Widget at the foot.
The widget lands on the dashboard. Drag it by its handle to move it.
The General tab
The General tab holds two sections: Heading and Questions and Answers.
Heading
Title is the widget's name, prefilled with "FAQ". Description is a switch, off to start; on, it adds a text box and the choice As A Tooltip or Below The Title.
Questions and Answers
The list of questions. It ships with one sample row, "What is SmartSuite?". Each row has a delete icon and an arrow that expands the row to edit the question and the answer. Select Add Question under the list to add a row.
Note: The answers are text on the dashboard, not help articles. When a process changes, the FAQ needs the edit too.
The General tab with three questions in the list, the second row expanded to its answer.
The Style tab
The Style tab holds two settings: Layout and Displayed as.
Layout
One Column or Two Columns. Two columns use the width of the dashboard; one column keeps the reading order simple.
Displayed as
List shows every answer at once. Accordion shows the questions only, and each one opens to show its answer. The preview on the left follows the choice.
Tip: Choose Accordion for more than four questions, so the dashboard stays short. Choose List when every answer is one line.
List against Accordion, one frame with two states.
Permissions
Solution Managers and members with Full Access add and change widgets on a public dashboard. The owner does so on a private one. Every member who can open the dashboard sees the FAQ. See Dashboard Settings. A shared read-only page shows it too; see Public Dashboard Sharing.
Using the widget
In View mode a viewer reads the list or opens accordion items. In two columns the questions run down the first column and then the second. A link in an answer opens in the browser.
A Filter widget and a Record Selector do not change an FAQ. It holds no records.
The widget shows in the SmartSuite mobile app for iOS and Android.
Editing an FAQ widget
In Edit mode, hover over the widget and select Edit in the strip that appears above it. The modal reopens; add, change or delete questions, then select Save Changes at the foot. Cancel after a change asks "Are you sure you want to exit without saving the changes you made?", with Exit Without Saving and Save Changes. The strip's More Options menu holds Minimize, Highlight Color, Duplicate Widget, Delete Widget and Collapsed by Default; see Managing Widgets.
