Overview

The Spacing Widget allows users to control the layout of their dashboards by adding extra space between widgets. This helps create a cleaner, more structured visual presentation, making it easier to guide users' focus across different sections.

  • Optional Usage: Not required between all widgets but helpful for improving readability.

  • Professional Appearance: Enhances organization, making dashboards more user-friendly and polished.

  • Focus Control: Strategically place space to highlight key areas.


Adding a Spacing Widget to Your Dashboard

  1. Click "Add Widget"

    • Locate the Add Widget button in the upper-right corner of your dashboard.

  2. Choose Your Widget

    • A sidebar will appear, displaying SmartSuite’s widget library, including text, charts, banners, and interactive elements.

    • Use the search bar or scroll through the categories to find the Spacing widget.

  3. Customize Your Widget

    • Add the widget to your dashboard.

    • Adjust its settings by hovering over it and clicking to modify spacing as needed.

    • You can adjust spacing in 16px increments.


Spacing Widget Customization Options

Height Adjustment

  • Default height: 16px

  • Adjustable via dropdown menu, with values ranging from 16px to 208px

  • Provides flexibility in spacing between dashboard sections

Background Customization

  • Default: Transparent background

  • Users can select a predefined color or enter a custom HEX code using the color picker
