Members are the people who belong to a SmartSuite workspace. Each member has a role that sets what they can do (General Access, Solution Creator or Workspace Administrator) and a type. One person can be a member of several workspaces, with a different role in each.

What identifies a member?
Note: A member is identified by their email address, and the same address identifies them in every workspace they belong to. Roles and permissions are set per workspace, so one person can hold different roles in different workspaces.
Which roles exist?
Role | What it allows |
General Access | Works in the solutions, tables and records shared with them or their Teams; can be given the Solution Manager permission on a solution. |
Solution Creator | Everything in General Access, plus creating new solutions; becomes Solution Manager of the solutions they create. |
Workspace Administrator | Full control of the workspace: members, Teams, billing, settings and every solution. |
The full list of capabilities is in Roles in SmartSuite. A member's type, such as a Guest, is set in the same invite dialog or profile.
How do I switch between workspaces?
Open the Sidebar Menu in the upper-left corner and select Switch Workspace, then pick the workspace.
Or open your profile menu in the upper-right corner and select Switch Workspace.
Note: Members who are not Workspace Administrators see only the Switch Workspace option in the Sidebar Menu.
