Sign in with Microsoft on the SmartSuite sign-in page works with personal Microsoft accounts (Outlook.com, Hotmail and Live). A work or school Microsoft 365 account, managed in Microsoft Entra ID, signs in through single sign-on (SSO), which an Administrator configures on the Enterprise and Signature plans.

Plan Availability

Sign in with Microsoft: all plan types. SSO with Microsoft Entra ID: Enterprise and Signature.

Permissions

Every member signs in for themselves. Administrators configure SSO in Workspace Administration.

Sign in with Microsoft on the sign-in page, on every plan.

Not supported by Sign in with Microsoft. Sign in through SSO (Enterprise and Signature), or with your email address and password.

How do I sign in with a work or school Microsoft account?

  1. An Administrator configures SSO with Microsoft Entra ID in Workspace Administration. The steps are in Configuring Single Sign-On (SSO).

  2. Open app.smartsuite.com/login and sign in with your organization's single sign-on.

Note: SSO is on the Enterprise and Signature plans. Workspaces on other plans sign in with email and password, Google, Apple or a personal Microsoft account.

Why does Sign in with Microsoft fail for my company account?

Because the button accepts personal Microsoft accounts only; a Microsoft 365 work or school account is refused. Use SSO if your workspace has it, or sign in with your email address and password. Logging In & Out of SmartSuite lists every sign-in method.
