In SmartSuite, there are two key concepts: workspaces and Member Profiles.
Member Profiles: Linked to individual users, they provide access to one or more SmartSuite workspaces.
Workspaces: Represent individual SmartSuite subscriptions, with their own environments, Solutions, Dashboards, and collaboration tools.
Creating a Member Profile
There are two ways to create a Member Profile:
1. Create a New Workspace and Member Profile
To create a brand-new SmartSuite Trial workspace and Member Profile:
Visit SmartSuite.
Click Sign Up and follow the prompts.

2. Create a Member Profile from an Invitation
To join an existing SmartSuite workspace:
Open the email titled Invitation to Join SmartSuite.
Click the Accept Invitation link.
SmartSuite will open in your default browser.
Complete the registration and activation steps.

Logging In and Out of SmartSuite
Logging In
To log in to SmartSuite:
Visit SmartSuite Login.
Enter your credentials:
Email and password, or
Google, Microsoft, or Apple ID authentication.
Click Log In.
Logging In with SAML SSO
For Enterprise Plan users with SAML enabled:
Visit SmartSuite Login.
Enter your email address and leave the password field empty.
Click Log In.
Logging Out
To keep your workspace secure, log out when you’re done:
Click your profile photo in the upper-right corner.
Select Log Out.
Resetting Your Password
If you log in using email and password, follow these steps to reset your password:
Click your profile photo in the upper-right corner.
Select Change Password.
Send yourself a password reset link.
Open the SmartSuite Password Reset email.
Click Reset Password and set a new password.
Note: If you use a social login (Gmail, Microsoft Live/Hotmail, or Apple) please visit your email account and follow their instructions for resetting your password.
Setting Up a SmartSuite System Login
If you use Google, Microsoft, or Apple to log in, you can create a SmartSuite-specific password:
Follow the password reset process.
Click the link to create a standalone SmartSuite password.

1. Joining Multiple Workspaces
Scenario: A consultant is invited to several client workspaces.
Solution: Use a single Member Profile to access all workspaces and switch between them easily.
2. Securing Your Account
Scenario: You’re working on a shared device.
Solution: Log out after completing your tasks to ensure your workspace remains secure.
3. Transitioning Away from External Authentication
Scenario: Your organization moves away from using Google authentication.
Solution: Create a standalone SmartSuite password for uninterrupted access.
