Current User is a filter value that stands for whoever is looking at the view. One view then shows each member their own records, with no view per person.
Here is the test: would you otherwise make one view for each member of the team? Use Current User instead.
Example: a Vendor Management solution with a Vendors table. The Security lead builds a public grid called My vendors with one condition: Where Control Owner is exactly Current User. Every Security member opens the same view and sees only the vendors they own. On the Findings table, a My findings view does the same on the Owner field.

Opening Filter and choosing Current User
Open the view and select Filter in the toolbar.
In the condition row, pick the Assigned To field, Control Owner here.
Pick the operator. An Assigned To field offers eight operators. They are has any of, has all of, is exactly and has none of, then is empty, is not empty, contains and does not contain. The default is has any of. Use is exactly for a view of your own vendors, or has any of when a vendor can have several owners and you want the ones you share.
Open the value dropdown. It reads Select Members for has any of and Select Member for is exactly. The first row is Current User, with a person icon and an info icon. The members of the workspace follow, each with an avatar.
Select Current User. The value shows a Current User pill and the view filters at once.
The info icon next to Current User reads: "System will use a name of a current user as a filter value".

How the value resolves
Current User is replaced by the signed-in member each time the view opens. The Security lead sees her vendors; a colleague sees theirs; the view's filter never changes. Current User is offered on Assigned To fields. It is not offered on First Created or Last Updated, whose contains operator takes a typed member name instead. Whether other member fields offer it is on Artem's list.
Note: A shared public link opens the view without a signed-in member. What a Current User filter shows on that page is not stated in the product read.
Permissions
Any member with access to the view can set the condition and see the result. Full Access members and Solution Managers save it on a public view; with Autosave changes on it is saved as it is made. On a locked view the change lasts for your session only. Once saved, the value resolves for every member who opens the view, whatever their role. See Filtering records using conditions.
Using Current User in each view type
Current User is a value in the Filter panel, so it works in every view type that has a Filter control. On the Findings board, a Kanban, Where Owner is exactly Current User shows each member their own findings by status. On the Renewals calendar, a Procurement member sees their own renewals. My Work is a different feature: it lists the records assigned to you across every solution, with no filter to build. See My Work.
Tip: Pair Current User with a second condition such as Status is not Resolved. The view then empties as each member closes their work.
Changing it later
Open Filter and swap the field, the operator or the value. Change is exactly to has any of to include the records you share with another owner. Delete the row with its trash icon to show everyone's records again.
