Overview
The Kanban View Widget is an option to select from the Dashboard view Gallery. It displays SmartSuite data as a board of cards grouped into columns (with optional swimlanes), ideal for visualizing status and workflow directly in your dashboard.
Configuring a Kanban View Widget
Select the Kanban View Widget from the Dashboard view Gallery.
In the settings module that appears:
Indicate the Solution the Kanban View will come from.
Select the Table within the Solution.
Choose the field the board groups by (the field that defines the columns).
Customize the display options:
Toggle the ability to inline edit directly from the widget — when enabled, users can drag cards between columns and swimlanes, and add (+) buttons appear for creating records. When disabled, the board is read-only: drag-and-drop is off and the add buttons are hidden.
Optionally display the report toolbar (to Group, Sort, Filter, Spotlight, or Find data).
Enable users to open records and view all details.
Set a limit on the number of records displayed in the widget.
Add the widget to your dashboard by clicking the Add Widget button.
Drag the widget window to adjust its size. You can also minimize the widget or view it in full-screen mode.

Highlight color — adjusts the color of the widget's border.
Duplicate Widget — makes a copy you can customize.
Collapse by default — displays the widget collapsed when first viewed.
