The Calendar View Widget is a powerful tool that allows you to present data in a calendar format on your dashboard. This widget is perfect for organizing and visualizing time-based information, such as events, deadlines, and schedules.

Overview & Uses
You can customize the Calendar View Widget to suit your needs by selecting the fields of data you want to display and displaying them in a calendar view that you configure to optimize visibility. The widget offers various views, including day, week, month, year, and list, allowing you to switch between different perspectives easily.
We’ve seen the Calendar View Widget used for some of these purposes:
Project Management: Track project milestones, deadlines, and deliverables.
Event Planning: Schedule and manage events, meetings, and appointments.
Task Management: Organize and prioritize tasks and to-dos.
Resource Allocation: Plan and allocate resources, such as team members or equipment.
Marketing Campaigns: Schedule and monitor marketing activities and campaigns.
Personal Planning: Keep track of personal appointments, reminders, and important dates.
Interactive features like drag-and-drop functionality make it easy to move events around, and you can click on any event to open detailed records. This user-friendly interface ensures that you can manage your time-based data efficiently.
The Calendar View Widget is designed to provide a consistent, easy-to-use experience that enhances your productivity and keeps you organized.
Configuring the Calendar View Widget
Navigate to your dashboard. For help on creating a dashboard view, see this article.
Toggle the View / Edit Dashboard Modal and click on "Add Widget button."
Select Calendar View
Locate and select the Calendar View from the Widget library.
Configure Widget Settings
Configuration of the widget is simple, involving just two settings and a choice of display options:
Solution: Select the Solution that contains the data you want to display.
Table: Choose the specific Table within the solution that holds your events or tasks.
Select Display Options
Allow Edit. When checked, users will have edit access to the underlying data if they have appropriate update permissions.
Display report toolbar options to members. When checked, the report toolbar will be displayed in the Widget, allowing the user to change selected date fields, sort and spotlight parameters. The Find option is also available in this mode.
Allow users to open record details. When checked, this option allows the user to expand individual records to display the edit record page.

Fields to Display: Select the fields you want to show in the calendar.
Filter: Customize how your data is organized and displayed.
Spotlight: Highlight records that match specified conditions.
Calendar View Mode
You have the option to select from several calendar display options, from single days through the entire year.
Day View: See all events scheduled for a single day.
Week View: View events for an entire week.
Month View: Get an overview of events for the whole month.
Year View: See a high-level view of events over the year.
List View: Display events in a list format.
Once you are done customizing, click "Add Widget" to add the widget to your dashboard.
Editing an Existing Calendar Widget
Once you
Put the Dashboard in Edit Mode:
Toggle View/Edit to Edit.
Open the Edit Widget Modal:
Click on the three dots menu on the widget.
Select "Settings" to open the edit modal.
Update Settings:
Modify the view type, solution, table, display options, and permissions as needed.
Save Changes:
Click "Save Changes" to apply the changes.
