General Access: View and subscribe to service status updates.

Seeing Overall Status

  1. Access the Status Panel:

    • Click on the chat button in the lower-right corner of the SmartSuite interface.

    • Scroll to the bottom of the panel.

  2. View System Status:

    • The last block normally displays a green arrow with "Status: All Systems Operational," along with the date of the last update.

    • If there is currently an issue or problem with the SmartSuite service, it will display in this block.

    • Click on the block to expand the view, displaying historical uptime for the last 30 days.

Note: When the system status display is expanded, you can click the “Subscribe” button to sign up for alerts that will notify you by email when the SmartSuite system status changes.


Getting More Detailed Information

  1. Expand the Status Block:

    • Click on the Status block to view detailed information.

  2. Detailed View Includes:

    • Overall Status: A summary of system performance.

    • Historical Status: Operational history for the last 30 days.

    • Incident Log: Records of any incidents during the selected period.

  3. Hover for Details:

    • Hover over individual days to see the number of incidents and any reported downtime.


Subscribing to SmartSuite Status Updates

Configure notifications to stay updated whenever an incident is detected, updated, or resolved. You can receive updates via Email, Slack, or RSS/ATOM, or any combination of these channels.

For Email:

  1. Click the Subscribe button.

  2. Enter the email address where you want alerts sent.

  3. Click Subscribe Via Email to register.

For Slack:

  1. Click the Subscribe button.

  2. Click Subscribe Via Slack.

  3. Follow Slack’s instructions to connect your account.

For ATOM or RSS:

  1. Click the Subscribe button.

  2. Click on the Atom Feed to access the feed URL.

  3. Click on the RSS Feed to access the RSS Feed URL.

1. Monitoring System Health for IT Teams

Scenario: An IT team needs real-time updates on platform uptime to ensure business continuity.

Solution: Subscribe to Slack notifications for instant updates on system incidents or downtime.

Outcome: Proactive issue resolution and minimized business disruption.

2. Tracking Historical Data for Reporting

Scenario: A business analyst reviews the past month's system status for incident trends.

Solution: Use the historical status view to identify downtime patterns and generate a report.

Outcome: Improved insights into system reliability and enhanced stakeholder reporting.

3. Individual User Alert Preferences

Scenario: A user wants email alerts for major incidents but prefers RSS for non-critical updates.

Solution: Configure email and RSS subscriptions to tailor update delivery to preferences.

Outcome: Customized notifications for better information management.
