Overview

Views in SmartSuite help users create custom reports and visualizations. However, over time, some views may no longer be needed. Deleting unused views helps keep your workspace organized and ensures relevant data remains accessible.

How to Delete a View

  1. Open the Navigation Sidebar:

    • Locate the view you want to delete.

  2. Click "..." (More Options) Next to the View Name:

    • This opens additional options for managing the view.

  3. Select "Delete View" from the Menu:

    • This will prompt a confirmation dialog.

  4. Confirm Deletion:

    • A pop-up window will appear asking you to confirm the action.

    • Click Delete to remove the view permanently.

  5. If you have the View already opened, you can assess the “Delete View” by clicking on the dropdown icon next to the View Name as well.

Best Practices for Managing Views

  • Regular Cleanup: Periodically review and remove outdated views.

  • Use Naming Conventions: Clearly label Views to make them easy to identify.

  • Share Before Deleting: If a view might be useful for others, consider sharing it instead of deleting.
