The Calendar Widget is a powerful tool that allows you to present data in a calendar format on your dashboard. This widget is perfect for organizing and visualizing time-based information, such as events, deadlines, and schedules.

How to Use the Calendar Widget

Navigate to your dashboard. For help on creating a dashboard view, see this article.
Toggle the View / Edit Dashboard Modal and click on "Add Widget button."

Locate and select the "Calendar Widget" from the library.

Widget Settings:

  • Solution: Select the Solution that contains the data you want to display.

  • Table: Choose the specific Table within the solution that holds your events or tasks.

Set Display Options

  • Fields to Display: Select the fields you want to show in the calendar.

  • Sort, Filter, Group By: Customize how your data is organized and displayed.

  • Allow edit: Enable editing of this widget directly on the Dashboard view

  • Display Toolbar: Choose whether to show or hide the toolbar with view controls.

  • Allow Open Record: Decide if users can open detailed records by clicking on events.

Views

You have the option to select from several uses of the calendar.

  • Day View: See all events scheduled for a single day.

  • Week View: View events for an entire week.

  • Month View: Get an overview of events for the whole month.

  • Year View: See a high-level view of events over the year.

  • List View: Display events in a list format.

Once you are done customizing, click "Add Widget" to add the widget to your dashboard.

Editing an Existing Calendar Widget

  1. Open the Edit Widget Modal:

    • Click on the three dots menu on the widget.

    • Select "Settings" to open the edit modal.

  2. Update Settings:

    • Modify the view type, solution, table, display options, and permissions as needed.

  3. Save Changes:

    • Click "Save Changes" to apply the changes.
