They can create, modify, and delete Automations in any Solution.
2. Solution Managers
Solution Managers can manage Automations for their assigned Solutions.
To check or modify Solution Managers, go to the Solution Permissions dropdown.

Solution: Set up an Automation to assign users when a task type is selected.
2. Deadline notifications
Scenario: A team needs reminders for approaching deadlines.
Solution: Create an Automation that sends notifications to users when a task is due soon.
3. Team updates

Frequently asked questions
How do I make someone a Solution Manager?
Open the solution's settings, find Solution Managers, click + and pick the member or a Team. Every member of a selected Team inherits the role. See Solution Permissions.
Can a member with Full Access build automations?
No. Full Access covers records; automations need the Administrator role or the Solution Manager role for that solution.
Can a whole team be Solution Managers?
Yes. Add the Team under Solution Managers; members added to or removed from the Team (including through SCIM) gain or lose the role automatically.
Can an AI assistant create fields and automations for me?
Through the SmartSuite MCP Server an AI client acts with the permissions of the member whose credentials it uses, so that member needs the same role. See SmartSuite MCP Server.
