File storage is one of a few SmartSuite resources that are metered against your workspace, including a Plan-specific quantity that you can use for no additional charge. The amount of total storage for files and images per Plan is:

  • Free Forever Plan: 100 MB total storage

  • Team Plan: 50GB total storage

  • Professional Plan: 100GB total storage

  • Enterprise Plan: 500GB total storage

If you exceed these limits for your workspace, don't worry - you can continue to add additional files and images, though a small fee will be applied to reflect usage above your Plan's included quantity. Your usage will be reset at the start of each month. Note that even if you are on an annually-billed plan, API Request overages will be billed monthly.

These thresholds are in place to ensure that SmartSuite can continue to scale to meet all of our customers' needs, offsetting the cost of providing those services with reasonable incremental fees.

What is counted as "file storage"

The following items contribute to your total SmartSuite file storage:

  1. Attachments uploaded to File & Image Fields

  2. SmartDoc File embedded images, attachments and videos (only video where the data is embedded in the field, not references to external videos)

  3. Images, attachments, and embedded videos in SmartSuite Comments

Additional File Storage Fees

We never want to prevent you from getting your work done, so exceeding your allocated storage amounts doesn't stop you from uploading additional data. Instead, SmartSuite will just allocate additional storage as needed and bill you for any overage on a monthly basis.

Note📝: Additional storage is allocated in 100GB blocks for $10 per month.

Plan Limit Warnings

If you exceed your total storage limit, the details of your usage and additional fees will be included in your Plan Profile. To find the details follow these simple steps:

  1. Log in as a Member (with the Administrator role).

  2. Click on your user profile icon in the upper-right hand corner of the SmartSuite interface to open your user profile options.

  3. Click Workspace Administration in the menu.

  4. Select the Plans & Billing tab.

  5. The red shaded box in the Plan Profile section displays information about any overage and related fees.
