Overview

The IP Address field is designed to store IPv4 and IPv6 addresses. It is commonly used in IT for tasks like:

  • Router or firewall configuration

  • Network provisioning

  • Cyber incident management


Adding an IP Address Field

From Grid View

  1. Click the + menu icon after the last column header or open the Column Menu by clicking the 3dot menu icon of an existing column.

  2. Select "Add Field to the Right."

  3. Choose "IP Address" from the field type options. Use the search bar for quick access.

  4. A configuration window will open for further setup.

From Record View

  1. Open a record.

  2. Click the + sign next to a current field.

  3. Select "IP Address" to add the new field below the current one.

Customizing the IP Address Field

Solution Managers can configure the IP Address field with the following options:

  • Country Auto-Detection: The field can detect and display the country associated with the IP address, including its flag.

  • Single or Multiple Values: Choose whether the field should accept one or multiple IP addresses.

  • Require Entry: Set the field as required if a value is required in your workflow to ensure data is consistently captured.

Additional Features

  • Clickable IP Addresses:

    • IP addresses entered in the field are clickable.

    • Clicking the IP address will open a new window, directing users to the associated website (if available).
