The Record Comments widget is used to show communication activity—comments, emails, or both—for a specific record. It must be connected to a Record Selector widget to work.
Overview
The Record Comments widget is designed to display the communication center of a record. This includes any comments, emails, or both, depending on the settings you choose. It uses the same interface and functionality as the standard comments in a record.
Setup Instructions
Step 1: Add the Widget
Add the Record Comment widget to your page.
Add a Record Selector widget if one is not already present.
Step 2: Connect to a Record Selector Widget
Use the widget settings to connect the Record Comments widget to a Record Selector widget.
The widget will show the communication center of the first record in the selection.
Step 3: Choose Communication Type
In the widget settings, choose one or both of the following options:
Show Comments
Show Emails
At least one option must always be selected.
If you turn one option off, the other becomes locked (grayed out) and cannot be turned off.
To change your selection, first re-enable the locked option, then adjust the settings.
Behavior and Display
If both comments and emails are selected, the widget will show tabs to switch between them.
If only one is selected, that section will display as a simple header—no tabs.
The widget will show an illustration as a placeholder until a record is selected.
Tips
This widget is intended to be used alongside the Record Selector widget. It will not display data until connected.
Use the communication settings to focus the view on just comments, just emails, or both.
Keep at least one communication type enabled to ensure the widget stays active.

You can add the Comments and Selector widgets together to let users view comments and emails for specific records on a dashboard.
Support Team Use Case
A support team might want to show both internal comments and customer emails in the same space. Use both communication types for full visibility.
Focused Communication View
If only emails or comments are needed, configure the widget to show just one type for a cleaner view.
The Record Comment widget helps you display conversations clearly and contextually within your page layouts. Make sure it's connected properly and configured with at least one communication type enabled.
