What Are Workspace Preferences?
Workspace Preferences set the default language, time zone, and locale for your entire SmartSuite workspace. These settings apply to every new member profile created, though individuals can customize their own preferences in their personal profiles.
Key Settings
Language: Choose from 15 supported languages. This updates the SmartSuite interface and system text, but user-generated content remains in its original language.
Time Zone: Display all date and time information in the preferred time zone. (Dates are stored in Universal Coordinated Time (UTC)).
Locale: Customize how dates, numbers, and currencies are formatted.
How to Set Workspace Preferences
Follow these steps to configure your Workspace Preferences:
Log in with a member account that has Administrator permissions.
Click your user profile icon in the upper-right corner.
Select Workspace Administration from the dropdown menu.
Navigate to the Workspace Settings tab.
Locate the Workspace Preferences section and click Edit.
Adjust the following options:
Language: Select the default language.
Time Zone: Choose your time zone for displaying date and time information.
Locale: Set the format for dates, numbers, and currencies.
Click Update Workspace Profile to save your changes.
Managing Individual User Preferences
While Workspace Preferences set defaults for all new members, individual users can override these settings in their personal profiles. Member accounts default to workspace preferences unless modified by the individual Member.
