If you log into SmartSuite with your email address and a password, it's easy to change your password at any time. We encourage you to do this once in a while to ensure that your profile always remains safe and secure!

Just follow these simple steps:

  1. Click on your user profile icon in the upper-right hand corner of the SmartSuite interface to open your user profile options.

  2. Click Change Password in the menu.

  3. The Password section will be displayed along with the date you last changed your password.

  4. Click the Edit button.

  5. Enter your current password in the Current Password field.

  6. Enter your new password twice in the New Password and Repeat Password fields.

  7. Click Create New Password

Be aware that you will receive error messages if:

  • Your new passwords don't match - you'll be asked to retype them

  • Your new password doesn't meet the minimum requirements for password strength

  • Your new password matches a password you have used before

What are SmartSuite's password strength requirements?

Your password needs to meet all of these requirements:

  • Minimum of 8 characters

  • At least 1 upper-case character

  • At least 1 lower-case character

  • At least 1 number or special character

What if I can't remember my current password?

Don't worry, if you can't remember your current password there's an easy way to reset it. In the Change Password dialog there is a link under Current Password labelled Forgot your current password? Click the link and you will be presented with the following page:

Just enter your email address, and SmartSuite will send you a password reset email. Just click the link in the email and you'll be taken to a password reset page. Easy!

What if I log in with another account (Google, Microsoft or Apple)?

If you use another account to log into SmartSuite and wish to continue doing so, you will have to change or reset your password on that service. Here are pages that tell you how:

If instead you would like to configure a SmartSuite system login and discontinue use of your external account for authentication, you will need to configure your new login from your user profile. Here are the steps:

  1. Click on Change Password in your user profile menu.

  2. You will see a "No Password" notice.

  3. Click the Set up a SmartSuite system login link.

  4. Follow the system prompts to create your new login and set a password.
