Features Overview

The Notification Center consolidates updates across all solutions, making it easy to:

  • View, manage, and act on notifications.

  • Group and filter notifications for better organization.

  • Access relevant records, comments, or assignments directly.


Accessing the Notification Center

  1. Click the bell icon in the upper-right corner of the homepage.

  2. A notification window will display, showing grouped updates.


When Do Notifications Occur?

Notifications help you stay on top of changes. Here’s when you’ll receive them:

@Mentions

  • Direct Mentions: When your name is mentioned in a record or comment.

  • Team Mentions: When your team is mentioned in a record or comment.

Assignments

  • When you are assigned to:

    • A record via the Assign To field.

    • A checklist item.

    • A comment.

Activity Updates

  • Updates or deletions to a record you’re following.

  • Changes to your member profile.

  • Password resets or changes.

  • Permission updates or when you're added to a team.

Notification Types

  • Fields: Notifications occur when mentioned in:

    • SmartDoc fields.

    • Checklist items or sub-items.

    • Comments

User Invite Acceptance

  • Notification available for admins when a user accepts an invite and finishes the registration


Managing Notifications

Notifications are grouped by Solution for clarity. You can perform bulk actions like:

  • Mark all as read.

  • Delete all notifications.

Tabs in the Notification Center

  1. All: Shows every notification.

  2. Unread: Displays new notifications, which can be cleared by marking them as read.

  3. @mentioned: Highlights items where you’ve been directly or indirectly mentioned.

  4. Assigned to Me: Lists all elements assigned to you, such as records, comments, or tasks.


Special Tabs Explained

Unread Notifications

  • Use this as a personal work queue.

  • Mark as read to declutter and stay organized.

@Mentioned Notifications

  • High-priority updates designed to prompt collaboration.

  • Review these items first to ensure timely responses.

Assigned to Me Notifications

  • Tracks items requiring action, such as:

    • Records.

    • Checklist or sub-items.

    • Comments.

  • These represent critical tasks with implied deadlines.


Additional Features

  • Real-Time Updates: Notifications appear instantly.

  • Auto-Archiving: Notifications are archived after 30 days to keep the center clean.

  • Direct Navigation: Clicking a notification takes you directly to the relevant record, comment thread, or assignment.


Practical Scenarios and Use Cases

1. Team Collaboration

Scenario: A team member mentions you in a comment for feedback on a project.

Solution: Quickly respond to the comment via the @Mentioned tab in the Notification Center.
