All members can view and manage their own active sessions.

What Are Active Sessions?

Your active sessions show all the devices currently logged into your SmartSuite account. Each session includes details like:

  • Browser: The web browser being used (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Edge).

  • Operating System: The OS of the device (e.g., Windows, macOS, iOS, Android).

  • Location: The city associated with the session’s IP address.

  • IP Address: The numerical address of the internet connection.


How to View Your Active Sessions

To check your active sessions:

  1. Log into your SmartSuite account.

  2. Click on your profile icon in the upper-right corner.

  3. Select My Profile from the dropdown menu.

  4. Navigate to the Active Sessions section.

You will see a list of all devices currently logged in.

How to End an Active Session

If you see a session you do not recognize or want to log out from a specific device, follow these steps:

  1. Locate the session you want to remove.

  2. Click the Terminate Session button next to it.

Note: You cannot terminate your current session. To fully log out, select Log Out from the profile menu.


Practical Scenarios & Use Cases

1. Security & Unauthorized Access

Scenario: You notice a session from an unfamiliar location. Solution: Immediately terminate the session and change your password for added security.

2. Managing Multiple Devices

Scenario: You logged in from a shared or public computer and forgot to log out.

Solution: Use your mobile or another device to end the session remotely.

3. Streamlining Active Sessions

Scenario: You have multiple active sessions from older devices you no longer use.

Solution: Regularly review and terminate outdated sessions to keep your account secure.

By actively managing your sessions, you ensure your SmartSuite account remains secure and under your control.
