What Are Active Sessions?
Your active sessions show all the devices currently logged into your SmartSuite account. Each session includes details like:
Browser: The web browser being used (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Edge).
Operating System: The OS of the device (e.g., Windows, macOS, iOS, Android).
Location: The city associated with the session’s IP address.
IP Address: The numerical address of the internet connection.
How to View Your Active Sessions
To check your active sessions:
Log into your SmartSuite account.
Click on your profile icon in the upper-right corner.
Select My Profile from the dropdown menu.
Navigate to the Active Sessions section.
You will see a list of all devices currently logged in.
How to End an Active Session
If you see a session you do not recognize or want to log out from a specific device, follow these steps:
Locate the session you want to remove.
Click the Terminate Session button next to it.
Note: You cannot terminate your current session. To fully log out, select Log Out from the profile menu.
Practical Scenarios & Use Cases
1. Security & Unauthorized Access
Scenario: You notice a session from an unfamiliar location. Solution: Immediately terminate the session and change your password for added security.
2. Managing Multiple Devices
Scenario: You logged in from a shared or public computer and forgot to log out.
Solution: Use your mobile or another device to end the session remotely.
3. Streamlining Active Sessions
Scenario: You have multiple active sessions from older devices you no longer use.
Solution: Regularly review and terminate outdated sessions to keep your account secure.
