Business Context

The nuance of face-to-face dialog can easily get lost in translation when communicating with text-based comments. This reality is amplified as more and more teams shift to remote work and business continues to operate on a global scale.

We believe context and tone matter - how we talk to each other and react are extensions of our culture ๐Ÿ™ƒ . Emoji reactions add that extra dimension to inject a little nuance๐Ÿ™ˆ ๐Ÿ™‰ ๐Ÿ™Š . It may seem small, but the small things add up โ…€ in the course of work to be impactful.

We don't always get to control the ups and downs that are inevitable in the work (or life๐Ÿ˜ฑ ), but we can always control how we react to it. So be thoughtful in your reactions!

Where to React to Comments

1. Click the icon next to the comment counter to view simple reactions. When you hover over a reaction, a tooltip will display the reacting member.

2. Add a wide range of reactions directly in a comment by clicking the emoji icon.

Smart Tips

Reactions to Comments

Once the first reaction is added, other members are intuitively prompted to add their reactions by clicking the +plus sign below the comment.

(Looks like someone is about to get angry about changing a priority - yikes!)

๐Ÿ“ Note: SmartSuite does not notify members when reactions occur. So if you have something important to say in reaction to a comment - be brave๐Ÿ•บ๐Ÿผ and hit the Reply button.

Also, users can only react once per comment. Hitting the + Plus sign and adding a reaction will just update your prior reaction.
